Textiles
The textile industry is mainly related to raw material production and is not part of the apparel industry and its retail avatar. Textile exports from the country run over USD 30 billion annually and have seen strong growth in recent years. Being the largest producer of textiles in the world, and having a dominant position right from the medieval era, this industry draws a lot of attention.
The industry is known not just for the high usage of color and chemicals, but also has to deal with high temperatures from 120 to 150 degrees. Frequent faults arise when the machinery is run continuously at high speed.

Condition Monitoring Few Examples:
- Temperature monitoring of motors whih could be heated due to negative torque.
- Roller and Spinner alignment and monitoring.
- Condition Monitoring to detect vertical roller position.
- Monitoring the printing qualities and quality of Spinners
Test & Measurement – Applications in the Textile Sector:
- Temperature monitoring and alerts through live or online devices.
- The Stroboscopes used for assessing printing quality have been the major items supplied by iAdept. There is a good interest deploying in online Vibrations & Condition Monitoring using wireless sensors.
