Tracing Our Roots & Growth

2003

Origins

Founded with a vision to focus on condition monitoring—primarily with vibrations at the forefront—iAdept began its journey with humble origins, a minimalistic team, and basic infrastructure. What started as a small back-office-style operation has steadily grown in reputation, establishing iAdept as a significant contender in the fields of Condition Monitoring, Test & Measurement, and Data Collection equipment.

2004

First DAQ at AMU

iAdept sold its very first Data Acquisition System to a university research team at Aligarh Muslim University. Since then, numerous products—including tailor-made solutions—have been successfully deployed across various universities throughout the country.

2005

First Stroboscope to Steel Authority of India Ltd

In 2005, iAdept added stroboscopes to its product portfolio and, within the same year, secured its first order from Steel Authority of India Ltd. Winning an order for a product that had been on the market for only a few months served as a major morale booster for the team.

Committed to staying ahead of the technology curve, iAdept has consistently introduced best-in-class technology products over time.

2006

iAdept Now Has World Bank Authorized Vendor Tag-

World Bank-Sponsored Environmental Impact Analysis
iAdept was selected for a World Bank-sponsored environmental impact analysis for the Dedicated Freight Corridor. The company was responsible for measuring vibration impact, sound levels, soil conditions, and conducting people surveys across the existing rail network, as well as predicting the potential impact of the new corridor being developed in the region.

This was among the first major railway-related projects that iAdept secured for analysis and survey work early in its journey, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth.

Diesel Engine Analysis Division Launch – 2006
In 2006, iAdept launched a dedicated division for diesel engine analysis. The revolutionary product developed under this division has remained virtually unmatched in the market, even after more than a decade. Multiple units have been sold, operated, and successfully upgraded over years of marine deployment—among many other achievements.

Diesel engine analysis continues to gain traction, particularly in marine applications for fault diagnosis of diesel-powered vessels, as well as in extensive use on backup DG sets equipped with indicator cocks.

iAdept brings Eye Movement Recorder to India

With multiple installations across diverse fields such as Physiology, Research, and Ergonomics, eye movement recorders became a valuable addition to iAdept’s product portfolio in 2007. This unique offering provided much-needed relief to research-based projects that had long been seeking such systems without success.

2008

Made In India Vibration Analyzer Software

Long before the "Make in India" initiative gained prominence, iAdept stood out as the only Indian OEM developing its own software arsenal to compete with global giants dominating the vibration analysis and balancing equipment market.

The first version, named FactoryManager-TM, was developed and tested throughout 2008 in collaboration with equipment from two leading manufacturers—one from Europe and the other from Japan.

2009

Factory Manager Vibration Software International Sales Begin

FactoryManager Adoption and International Reach
FactoryManager licenses began gaining traction among vibration consultants and small-scale setups. Thanks to local development and assembly, the software quickly established itself as a strong and affordable solution. Advanced features such as Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Route Collection, and ISO-10816 Alarms made a compelling case in the Indian market.

Benstone Instruments, USA, became the first international customer for FactoryManager, deploying the software for their G-Tech division in Taiwan.

Local Maintenance Hub Setup
Recognizing the growing need for local support for international products that often involve long repair turnaround times, iAdept established a dedicated maintenance team to handle manageable issues locally. This initiative helps clients save valuable time, effort, and costs associated with international servicing.

With staff trained at client premises, iAdept now provides calibration, servicing, and even fault identification to help expedite part replacements directly from OEMs.

2010

iAdept Eye Movement Recorder Sourced for LCA Program

Contribution to India’s First Indigenous Fighter Aircraft – LCA
iAdept was proud to be associated with the development of India’s first indigenous fighter aircraft, the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA). An Eye Movement Recorder sourced from the USA was deployed to assist in developing the cockpit ergonomics for the aircraft.

The LCA program has since evolved, resulting in multiple versions of the fighter jet.

iAdept Explores Thermal Imaging for Reliance Industries
As thermal imaging rapidly emerged as a leading technology in the field of condition monitoring, iAdept ensured it kept pace with innovation. The introduction of its thermal imaging division proved to be a success, with Reliance Industries becoming iAdept’s first client in this segment.

iAdept Customizes Solution for India’s Premier Institute IIT Madras

iAdept Delivers Custom Solution for IIT Madras
A rare feat that showcased iAdept’s ability to tailor complex solutions was a project for India’s premier engineering institute, IIT Madras. The challenge involved sourcing products, components, and software from four different countries—USA, United Kingdom, France, and Japan—and seamlessly integrating them. The setup was designed to analyze the fracture process of rocks on the seabed using a combination of Piezoelectric Transducers, a Laser Vibrometer, an Amplifier, and an Oscilloscope—all working in perfect synchronization.

iAdept Tailors Ultrasonic Solution for CBRI
iAdept takes pride in delivering solutions that work—regardless of how unique the requirement may be. When the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) approached with a specific challenge, iAdept went above and beyond its standard offerings to design a custom ultrasonic solution that met their needs.

This project also marked the introduction of ultrasonics into iAdept’s product portfolio, which has since found applications across a wide range of industries.

2012

Directorate of Revenue Intelligence Surveillance Requirement

Thermal Imaging Surveillance for DRI
iAdept’s thermal imaging surveillance division successfully addressed a specific requirement from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) for advanced surveillance binoculars. Working closely with the Delhi and Chennai units, iAdept delivered not only a top-of-the-line, tailor-sourced product but also expanded its thermal imaging portfolio to include surveillance solutions—marking a significant addition to its capabilities.

Leak Detector for Oil Companies
Leaks represent a significant source of revenue loss—especially for oil companies handling what is often referred to as liquid gold. SR Oils became the first customer to adopt iAdept’s pipe leak detection solution. Since then, the list of satisfied clients has grown extensively, with iAdept proudly standing among the first in India to offer relevant, technology-driven leak detection solutions.
