Aerospace industry relates to the effort by man to scale the atmospheres and the space beyond. Aircraft, space vehicles, rockets, missiles, aircraft engines, propulsion units and their related spare parts, all are included in this industry. Aerospace companies work on research, design, manufacture, operate or maintain air and spacecraft.
The private and public aerospace sectors are known to work in synergy in most flourishing Industrialized countries. Examples of leading of Aerospace firms are Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Rolls Royce. Most of these companies have civil, defense & space arms and deal in all three.
Many countries have Government Funded space programs like NASA & ISRO, forming the public domain and private companies such as SpaceX & Virgin Galactic being main stream themselves. Majority of private organizations contribute by producing tools, parts and related services to established companies. Countries dominating space programs and explorations include USA (NASA), European Union (ESA), Russia (ROSCOMOS Space Corporation) and India (ISRO).
